Hard disk drive quotations.

All quotations given by CDR include any necessary donor parts to complete the work. This means you will not be asked for additional funds even if you hard disk drive requires rare or expensive donor parts. In cases of any mechanical failure we assume that donor parts will be necessary and factor this into our pricing structure.

All work is on a ‘no-recovery, no-fee basis’. That is, if we cannot recover your data there are no charges made. There are never any diagnostic fees, or non-refundable charges. Payment is only due after you have approved a file listing detailing what data has been recovered.

Non-refundable fees?

Under most circumstances we will never ask for money up front or a non-refundable fee. There is one exception to this rule, which relates to hard disk drives that have previously been opened. For more information please read our “non-refundable fee policy.

Diagnosis of hard disk drive failure

Cheadle DATA Recovery Ltd provides a clear price list in advance of receiving any device. A diagnosis of the failed HDD can be made in most cases over the phone. A free diagnostic test is conducted once the device is received at which point the failure of the HDD will be put into one of the three following categories, and the associated fixed price quotation will be given:
