RAID array and server quotations.
Multiple disks in a RAID array represent some of the most challenging work for data recovery companies. Typically we base any quotation on the number of disks in the RAID array, and the number of Virtual Machines (VMs) if these are present. In these cases we find it absolutely essential to speak to the system administrator of the failed server/RAID so we can get an understanding of how and why there is data loss. Please contact us on 0161 408 4857 before making any attempt to rebuild or reinitialise the RAID array. The rebuild process can lead to permanent data loss.
If you are based within a convenient travelling distance you can arrange a free call out service whereby a staff member of CDR will visit the location of your server/RAID to assess the failure, or arrange a time to bring your RAID array in to CDR for diagnosis tests. These will usually be completed on the same for servers and RAID arrays.
Once a member of CDR has established the reason for data loss then a quotation will be sent to you detailing cost and estimated timescale associated with the work. As per all of the work conducted by CDR the quotations include necessary donor parts and all work is on a ‘no-recovery, no-fee basis’. That is, if we cannot recover data there are no charges made.
