From the 1st call John was helpful honest and made sure I was fully aware of the how things could go. We sent our damaged drive to him (which had already been looked at by somebody else) John found the previous attempt at repair had changed main board and also had left finger prints on the drive which needed cleaning and that there was a high chance of an unsuccesful recovery. We paid for an express service and within 24 hours we had an email to say recovery complete. Checking recovered files showed John has managed to get back litterally 99.9% of the files. To save us some money he then condensed the files to allow to me send on the internet rather than buying another hard drive. Great service and will be forever greatful. Thanks John

I had an excellent experience with John at Cheadle Data Recovery when my partner's external hard drive stopped working. John was very helpful in suggesting things to test before bringing the device in. He also went through the data recovery process in detail and explained the different price bands, depending on the issue with the hard drive. This price list was then sent to me by email with an explanation that if they can't recover the data, I wouldn't be charged. In the end, the fixes that John suggested meant that I did not need to take the hard drive to them in the end, as it just turned out to be the external case adaptor that had gone and not the drive itself. However, I would definitely use their services in the future if any of my disks go.

John did a fantastic job–he was calm, polite and very helpful in all our meetings, and did as good a data recovery job as I could have hoped for. I fully recommend John, and feel like I got value for my money.

Big thanks to Cheadle DATA Recovery for their excellent services. I had a failed 6TB OS X RAID array & they successfully recovered millions (literally millions!) of files for me including the full folder hierarchy. Amazing work, highly recommend to anybody with a failed hard drive.

Last month I had the awful experience of my data drive having a fault. Having had problems with hard drives in the past and being relatively competent with computers, I tried using software to access the faulty hard drive. despite my efforts, I could get nothing off the drive which was catastrophic and very upsetting. I researched various data recovery companies and settled on using the services of John. I'm so glad that I did. He quoted me a very competitive price with no strings attached and a firm price. Other companies can hold you to ransom once they have your precious data - not the case with John. A firm price that he stuck to and I only had to pay once I was satisfied with the level of data recovery. Some companies, promise the earth with a cheap quote but end up charging a fortune. Although John could not recover all of my files (there was only a handful that were beyond recovery), I'm certain that he went 'above and beyond' what anybody else would have done and I am extremely happy with the amount of files he could recover; being almost all of them. I can't recommend Cheadle Data Recovery higher and if I ever need his services again, I wouldn't think twice. Excellent service at an excellent price.
